Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller welcomes new Public Information Officer

Jennifer Linzy has been named Public Information Officer for the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller.

The Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller's office welcomes Jennifer Linzy as its new Public Information Officer. In this role, Linzy will manage the Clerk's internal and external communications, website, and social media, in addition to growing and maintaining media relations and promoting positive public awareness.

Linzy comes to the Clerk's office following over six years as the Communications Coordinator for the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corporation. She is a soon-to-be graduate from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in Professional and Technical Communication and is an active member of the Florida Public Relations Association Central West Coast chapter. She is a Manatee County native and currently lives in Palmetto with her husband. An interesting tidbit about Linzy is that she is a second-generation employee at the Clerk's office. Linzy's mother, Judy Brand, previously was the Law Librarian for the Clerk until her retirement in 2010.

"I am thrilled to be back at the Clerk's office, but as an employee this time. I look forward to providing essential information to the public and employees while simultaneously creating meaningful connections along the way," said Linzy. "I am ready to get to work."

"We are very excited to welcome Jennifer to our Clerk team. Jennifer brings experience working with local government and considerable technical skills," said Angel Colonneso. "There is no doubt these skills will assist her in accomplishing the numerous ideas she has already been working on for our office."

The media, employees, and customers are welcome to contact Linzy during office hours by phone at (941) 741-4007 or email at jennifer.linzy@manateeclerk.com
