Manatee Clerk's Office Resumes Passport Applications

The Manatee County Clerk’s Office is now accepting passport applications once again.  The U.S. Department of State’s Miami Agency has moved to phase II in their efforts to re-open all passport agencies amid the Covid epidemic, which allows our office to offer passport services.

Effective Monday, October 12, our office will begin accepting passport applications by appointment.  We are open Monday – Friday, from 8:30am – 4:30pm.   To better assist you, please call our office before arriving to make an appointment.  Our phone number is 941-741-4020.  You can also visit our website at www.manateeclerk.com.

We are looking forward to serving the community.  As we begin to offer these services once again, we ask for everyone’s patience and understanding.  We have limited staff due to budget restraints and are expecting an influx of customers.  We take serving our customers very seriously, and will work hard to make sure we help everyone in need of a passport.

In an effort to better assist our customers, we will be offering our services for passport applications on Saturday, November 21, from 8:00am – Noon and another future date, still to be determined.

According to the U.S. Department of State, those who apply for a passport, can expect to receive them in 10-12 weeks.  You have the option of paying an additional fee for expedited service to receive your passport in 4-6 weeks.  These processing times apply to applications submitted by mail and in-person at the Manatee Clerk’s Office.
