Event details: Manatee County residents with suspended driver licenses will have the opportunity to pay overdue court obligations, including traffic tickets, while saving up to 30 percent in additional fees.

Event details: The Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller's Passport Division opens on a Saturday for customers who need to apply for a passport for the first time or renew a passport that is 15 years or older. No appointment is required.

Community Shred Day

Event details: Free personal document shredding and hard drive destruction drive-thru event. 

What to Know:

  • Residential shredding only - no commercial or business services.
  • Up to two boxes, the size of a standard Bankers Box (12 inches by 10 inches by 15 inches), per vehicle. However, documents can be brought in any container.
  • Do not tape boxes or knot bags before the event.
  • No drop-offs are accepted. All participants must remain in their vehicle with their documents until a staff member or volunteer securely places their items into a bin to be shredded or destroyed.
  • Paper clips, staples, rubber bands, labels, and file tabs do not need to be removed. 
  • Document shredding and hard drive destruction will take place onsite. 
  • Please review the list of accepted items and the items not accepted below before arriving at the event. 

What Items Are Accepted

  • Personal documents of any color or type of paper
  • Plastic credit cards and IDs
  • Hard drives (removed from the computer)

What Items Are Not Accepted

  • Binders
  • Junk mail
  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • Electronics
  • Wet or damp paper
  • Business or commercial shredding
