Special Passport Event Provides After Business Hours in May 2021
If you’d like get a passport, but find it hard to apply for one because of your busy work/personal schedule, the Manatee Clerk’s Office wants to help you. Next month, the Clerk’s Office will be offering special passport application hours to help those on tight schedules. Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Passport services will be offered on Saturday, May 1st, 2021 from 8:30am to 12-noon. No appointments are necessary on this day. Our office will also be extending our hours and staying open until 7:00pm to offer passport services on the following Wednesdays: May 5th, May 12th, May 19th, and May 26th. The Wednesday dates will require an appointment.
Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, Angel Colonneso, realizes many residents work full-time and it is often difficult for families to find extra time to take care of things when juggling work and school hours. She has decided to add these extra hours to make it more convenient for individuals and families to get their passports. This event is designed for Manatee County residents who want to apply for their passport for the first time, renew a passport issued more than 15 years ago, or renew a minor’s passport. In the past, when the Clerk’s Office has offered these special passport hours, the events have been successful.
