Potential Jurors Urged To Use eJuror in Manatee County

Jury trials have resumed in Manatee County after being suspended for several months due to COVID-19. The 12th Judicial Circuit Court has transitioned into Phase 2 of the Florida Supreme Court guidelines, which permits the resumption of in-person trials. Jury summons started being mailed out earlier this month.

In an effort to keep jurors and court employees safe during the Covid pandemic, safety protocols have been put in place, including: sanitization of public spaces, social distancing, hand sanitizer stations, temperature checks and a verbal screening for entry into the building along with the wearing of facemasks.

The Manatee Clerk’s Office is encouraging potential jurors to use eJuror. The eJuror System is an online tool used to expedite jury service. Jurors are able to complete required questionnaires, request excusals or postponements and opt into electronic notifications of service status.
