Special Announcement

We are closed for the month of July 2017 for maintenance and exhibit changes. We will re-open on Tuesday, August 1st.
Please come visit us then!

The Carnegie Library will be closed until further notice while the leaky windows are removed, repaired, and reinstalled. While the Carnegie Library will be closed during construction, free tours of the other historical buildings will still be offered at 2pm Tuesday-Friday.

Realize Bradenton

The Manatee Village Historical Park is a proud partner of Realize Bradenton. Joining arts, culture and heritage to make downtown Bradenton a unique place to live, work and visit.

The Palmetto Historical Park is host to a wide variety of programming designed to appeal to people of all ages. Each year brings Halloween and Summer Socials, as well as our annual Heritage Festival, historical speakers, Palmetto's Christmas in the Park and a group yard sale. All events and activities are offered free of charge.

The Palmetto Historical Park’s Carnegie Library is open Tuesday through Friday and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the Month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 4:00.

Tours are necessary to view the entire park, and are held daily at 2:00 pm when park is open. An additional tour is available at 10:00 am on Fridays. Admission and tours are free of charge.

Palmetto Historical Park is closed New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, President’s Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Holiday, Labor Day Weekend, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Weekend, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Palmetto Historical Park is primarily handicapped accessible. Due to the historic nature of some of our buildings, visitors may be offered an alternative experience. Call or e-mail for more information.
