 Palmetto Mayor Shirley Groover Bryant has proclaimed April 16th, 2016 - 1st Responders Day! Celebration kicks off with ceremony at 1pm.

Free Activities Until 4pm: 

  • Take the Kid’s Firefighter Challenge
  • Try on a Police Officer’s gear and body armor
  • Crafts, Contest and face painting
  • Get a peak inside an ambulance, fire truck & other 1st Responder vehicles
  • New museum exhibits about the history of our local police and firefighters
  • Informational booths about Emergency Medicine, Crime Prevention, Identity Theft, Personal Safety and more!

    1- 4 pm @ the Palmetto Historical Park

During the school year, the Agricultural Museum will be hosting students on field trips on Wednesdays and Thursdays of most weeks!

Realize Bradenton

The Manatee Village Historical Park is a proud partner of Realize Bradenton. Joining arts, culture and heritage to make downtown Bradenton a unique place to live, work and visit.

The Palmetto Historical Park is host to a wide variety of programming designed to appeal to people of all ages. Each year brings Halloween and Summer Socials, as well as our annual Heritage Festival, historical speakers, Palmetto's Christmas in the Park and a group yard sale. All events and activities are offered free of charge.

The Palmetto Historical Park’s Carnegie Library is open Tuesday through Friday and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the Month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 4:00.

Tours are necessary to view the entire park, and are held daily at 2:00 pm when park is open. An additional tour is available at 10:00 am on Fridays. Admission and tours are free of charge.

Palmetto Historical Park is closed New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, President’s Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Holiday, Labor Day Weekend, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Weekend, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Palmetto Historical Park is primarily handicapped accessible. Due to the historic nature of some of our buildings, visitors may be offered an alternative experience. Call or e-mail for more information.
