Realize Bradenton

The Manatee Village Historical Park is a proud partner of Realize Bradenton. Joining arts, culture and heritage to make downtown Bradenton a unique place to live, work and visit.

The Palmetto Historical Park is host to a wide variety of programming designed to appeal to people of all ages. Each year brings Halloween and Summer Socials, as well as our annual Heritage Festival, historical speakers, Palmetto's Christmas in the Park and a group yard sale. All events and activities are offered free of charge.

  • Family Field Trip Fridays in Palmetto - Starting June 10th
    Come on down to the Palmetto Historical Park and Agricultural Museum and join us for Family Field Trip Fridays, each Friday this summer at 10:00 AM, located at 515 10th Ave. West, Palmetto. Starting on June 10th, adults and children alike will enjoy learning about the history of Palmetto plus take part in all the fun "extras" like picking up mail, planting, identifying "what is it?" items, writing on old-fashioned chalkboards, etc. Reservations are needed for groups larger than 10. The Palmetto Historical Park’s Carnegie Library is open Tuesday through Friday and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the Month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 4:00.

Tours are necessary to view the entire park, and are held daily at 2:00 pm when park is open. An additional tour is available at 10:00 am on Fridays. Admission and tours are free of charge.

Palmetto Historical Park is closed New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, President’s Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Holiday, Labor Day Weekend, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Weekend, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
