Guided Tours

If you come to the park between October and May from 9:30 A.M. until 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, there are volunteers to escort you through the park. In the summer or at times when volunteers are not available, You can take a self-guided tour of the park using our park guidebook. Large groups are asked to call and make arrangements for a tour in advance.

School Tours

Our school program is designed for grades 4 and up and takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 A.M. to 12:15 P.M. The school program has many different offerings for teachers to choose from, but students will only visit part of the Park on the trip. Schoolteachers must make a reservation in advance for their class to visit the park by emailing Melissa Porter for a field trip application. The maximum number of classes we can accommodate each day is 3. We book up very quickly so teachers are urged to make their reservation early in the school year.
