What types of payment are accepted at the Clerk of the Circuit Court’s office?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, cashiers checks, and money orders for most Clerk’s Office payments. Personal checks will be accepted only for traffic tickets, searches, copies, recording fees, filing fees. Criminal Fines must be paid with cash, money order or cashier's check. There is a non-refundable service fee per transaction for credit card transactions. This service charge is charged by MyFloridaCounty.com. The Clerk's Office does not keep any part of this fee. Your credit card statement will display the vendor name of MyFloridaCounty.com for billing details. For information on refunds or for general inquiries, please call customer support at (877) 326.8689
Can I pay my fees and/or fines by mail?
Yes. Check the fee schedule for the appropriate amount. Please reference what you are paying for on your form of payment or in an enclosed note. Mail your payment to: Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller P.O. Box 25400 Bradenton, FL 34206 Please do not send cash in the mail.
Can I pay my fees and/or fines by phone?
Yes, we gladly accept credit card payments by phone with the exception of Criminal Fines. Criminal Fines must be paid with cash, cashier's check or money order.
Where does my document go when I leave it with the cashier?
Cashiering assigns the Official Records Book and Page number to your document then sends it back to the Recording Department to be scanned, indexed and microfilmed. The original document will be returned to you by mail or you may pick it up in our office in a few days.
How can I charge copies?
By setting up an Escrow Account. Please fill out this Escrow Set Up Sheet and forward to our Cashiering Department. Each time you charge against this Escrow Account the amount will be deducted from your deposit. We will provide you a website link to check your balance anytime. When your balance runs low you will need to replenish your account. There is no set limit for you to set up an Escrow Account, your daily business with us should help you determine how much you should have on hand. You may use this Escrow Account for any business within our office from copies and filing fees to recording documents.
Can I make a payment on-line?
Yes, we now accept payments for traffic citations on-line through MyFloridaCounty.com. Visit the Pay Citation Online page for more details.
