To be eligible for Teen Court, a youth must meet
all the following requirements:
Be between the ages of 10 and 17
Have no prior criminal record
Be referred to Manatee County Teen Court by either the Juvenile
Assessment Center (JAC), a Law Enforcement Officer, the State
Attorney's Office, or Juvenile Court
Must admit guilt
Must be willing to sign a Waiver of Speedy Trial form
Juvenile and parent(s)/legal guardian must appear for the hearing
and agree to accept the sentence imposed by the Teen Court
